Mobile Preventive Maintenance That Keeps Fleets Running

Fleet preventive maintenance isn't complicated in theory. Service the trucks on schedule, catch problems before they cause breakdowns, and keep the fleet on the road. In practice, it's the first thing that slips when drivers are busy, and shop schedules are backed up.

A mobile fleet preventive maintenance program removes the friction. We come to your yard or terminal on a set schedule, work through your units, and provide documentation of everything we serviced and anything that needs attention. Your trucks don't leave the yard for routine PM.

What a PM Service Includes

A standard fleet preventive maintenance schedule visit from Auto House covers: oil and filter change; fluid checks and top-offs (coolant, transmission, brake, power steering); air filter inspection and replacement; belt and hose condition check; tire pressure and visual tire inspection; and a general walk-around for obvious concerns.

Additional items — brake inspection, lighting check, trailer coupling — can be added to the standard PM based on your fleet's needs and manufacturer recommendations. We build the checklist around what your trucks actually need, not a generic template.

Preventive Maintenance Truck Service

Preventive maintenance truck service intervals for commercial diesel engines typically range from 10,000 to 25,000 miles, depending on engine type, load, and operating conditions. Trucks operating in dusty environments, experiencing heavy stop-and-go, or exposed to extreme temperatures need more frequent service. We'll help you set the right intervals for your specific operation.

Missing a PM interval doesn't immediately break a truck, but the compounding effect of skipped service is where major repairs come from. The oil that's 8,000 miles overdue, the belt that wasn't inspected, the coolant that wasn't topped off; these turn into roadside breakdowns.

Scheduled PM Fleet Maintenance

Fleet PM service on a regular schedule also gives you a consistent record of your fleet's maintenance history, which is useful for resale value, compliance documentation, and internal accountability. We provide documentation for every service visit.

PM visits can also fold in tire work, oil service, or anything else in our mobile maintenance program. Call us to discuss a PM program for your fleet. We'll ask about your truck count, your routes, and your current service intervals, and put together a visit schedule that works.

"Sean was absolutely outstanding. I was in a tough situation with my U-Haul trailer and needed help fast, and Sean got everything handled quickly, professionally, and efficiently. He worked with urgency, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure I was safely back on the road in no time. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about providing great customer service, but Sean went above and beyond. "I had an excellent experience with Auto House Inc Towing & Recovery. While I was traveling with a load through McPherson, Kansas, my truck broke down unexpectedly. I called them after finding their company on Google, and from the very beginning, their service was outstanding. They arrived even faster than the estimated time, handled my truck professionally, and safely transported it to a repair shop. What really stood out was the level of care they provided beyond just towing — they took the time to drive me to a hotel and made sure I could choose where I wanted to stay."
